Politics seems progressively more polarized, hostile, and...a lot of other things since this election. There is a great deal of work to be done to restrict the damage Donald and his handlers (and the GOP legislature) can do in the next four years.LLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07866433024357088762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1292359462986741450.post-92199891218069441412017-01-24T04:28:16.722-08:002017-01-24T04:28:16.722-08:00It's quite a few months yet before I'm all...It's quite a few months yet before I'm allowed to really talk politics, but I've been glad to see other people speak out. Lately, I've been watching a lot of The West Wing and, man, I wish things were more like that. From a legal history perspective, the steady erosion of reproductive rights has been a particular shock. I went to a talk by a recently-appointed judge with some experience working in the Clinton Administration and he commented on how unexpected (and fortunate!) it was that LGBT rights have been able to progress so fast since that time, while reproductive rights have been eroded much more than they expected back then. I need to work out myself what more I can do in terms of activism. It's definitely going to be an interesting year for the whole world.Janehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08689713976270222518noreply@blogger.com
